Queer Affirming Therapy

I help LGBTQIA+ folk who feel invisible, misunderstood or ‘not enough’ feel more at home in themselves

Therapy for Queer folk who are tired of adapting, questioning themselves, and wondering where they belong.

For those who have spent years feeling unseen, misunderstood, or like parts of themselves don't quite make sense to the people around them. Perhaps you've found yourself constantly weighing up what's safe to share, minimising parts of yourself, or wondering whether people will really understand your experience. You may find that you overthink, questioning your own feelings and wider relationships, self-criticise and feel like you're somehow "not enough".

Build a life where you don't have to shrink to belong.

If you’re a queer person and you find yourself overthinking, questioning and berating yourself, feeling misunderstood, or wondering where you fit, I want you to know you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with have also learnt to monitor themselves, to question how they’re perceived, whether they’re taking up too much space, or whether their feelings and needs are “valid” enough.

I’ve helped many LGBTQIA+ folk navigate the same experiences and have seen how once we begin to understand, connect to, and process our struggles, shrinking starts to shift into feeling like you can finally take up space, without guilt.

Hi! I’m Alex!

Queer Therapist & Down to earth human

I’m a UK-based Online Therapist Who Works With Queer folks

People often choose to work with me because they feel I truly “get” their experience. Not just as a therapist, but as a Queer woman who understands the emotional weight of navigating a world that doesn’t always make space for you.

I understand what it can feel like to constantly read the room, anticipate how you’ll be received, and question whether it’s safe to show all of yourself. To live with a mind that analyses everything, a nervous system that stays alert, and a deep desire to be seen without always having to explain yourself first!

Let’s work together

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. The following steps outline how to get in touch, what to expect after reaching out, and how we can begin working together!

You can drop me a message when you feel ready. People often share a brief outline of why they are seeking therapy! I aim to respond to enquiries within 24 hours.

Reach Out

We have a relaxed chat where you can ask any questions, share a bit about what’s going on, and get a sense of me too! I try to schedule an intro call within 7 days of you reaching out (if our diaries allow!)

Intro Chat

If it feels like a good fit, we’ll find a regular time that works for you and get your first session in the diary. If it doesn’t feel right, that’s completely okay too, there’s no pressure to continue.

Schedule First Session

We start where you are, gently exploring what you’ve been struggling with in a way that feels steady and supported!

“I've seen many different therapists in my life and I can say that working with Alex felt so different to what I had experienced in the past. I always felt they didn't really get it or me. Working with Alex allowed me to process so much of my past that had impacted me into my adult life”
