Why I Do This Work

I work with overthinkers, deep feelers, and emotionally exhausted people, because I’ve been there too.

I spent years feeling anxious, always feeling stuck in my head. Looping the same thoughts, fears, and what-ifs. I was terrified of the future, and frustrated that I couldn’t think my way out of how I was feeling.

I saw therapist after therapist. Some were helpful, some well-meaning, but so many made me feel like just another box to tick.
I’d leave with reframing worksheets and journal reflections that encouraged me to analyse more… “Is this thought rational?”.
But deep down, I wasn’t looking for worksheets or being told to ‘reframe’ my thoughts, I was desperate for relief.
For real connection. For someone to actually see me.

This is what led me to train to be the therapist I needed back then.


I’m a down-to-earth, northern therapist (born in Manchester) who welcomes the swearing, the laughter and the jokes. I hope therapy with me feels warm, non-judgmental, emotionally attuned and human. I don’t do clinical!

  • Outside of therapy sessions, you’ll find me outdoors in nature, most likely playing sport (football, padel or tennis) or in the gym. I’m a self-proclaimed coffee-snob so I love finding the best coffee shops wherever I go!

    I love reading literary fiction, nearly as much as I love buying the books in the first place (forever buying books quicker than I can read them).

    More than anything, you’ll find me chasing the depth in everyday life. I’m a sucker for the quiet, tender moments that make me feel human. The small pauses. The honest conversations. The feeling of being moved, even if I can’t quite explain why. It’s that same love for meaning and emotional richness that shapes how I work as a therapist!

  • Anxious ‘overthinkers’ often choose to work with me because I speak their language, the loops, the mental rehearsals, the scanning for the why, the what if, the what now. I don’t just understand it, I’ve lived it!

    I don’t just help you manage the symptoms. Together, we get to the emotional root of the racing thoughts and inner noise, the part of you that’s always analysing in the hope it might finally bring peace.

    My approach is gentle and explorative. We’ll slow down enough to process what’s been carried for too long, and reconnect you with the parts of yourself that have been lost in the process.

    This is how the overthinking quietens, not through control, but through connection!

    It is possible to live a life that doesn’t revolve around fixing, analysing, or self-managing

    It is possible to live a life that allows you to feel safe, feeling your emotions without dissecting, analysing and over explaining them

    I know this, because I’ve seen it happen with my clients, not overnight, but gently, consistently, through connection, safety, and space to feel what’s been held in for too long.
